Thanks to the following schools for participating in the field review of the third draft of the Standards for Technology Education: Content for the Study of Technology Education (Content Standards). These schools are representative of technology education programs in grades kindergarten through twelve throughout the country.
The goal of the field review process was to obtain feedback from variety of schools on how the Content Standards fit into current technology education programs, whether the Content Standards will be helpful in developing curriculum, and how the Content Standards, when implemented, will affect the learning experience at the classroom level. The teachers or school representatives reviewed the Content Standards, compared it to their school's current technology education program, and provided insights from their perspective. This input will provide important direction as the TfAAP finalizes the Content Standards and plans workshops for the summer of 1999.
