NEW CASTLE - Mrs. Grace Switzer Wright, age 93, passed away March 2, 1990, at a local hospital. Mrs. Wright was a lifelong resident of Craig County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hez F. Wright, and granddaughter, Martha L. Hamwey. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank (Bill) and Beverly Wright, Ashby and McCoy Wright, all of New Castle; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Inas Loan, New Castle; Dorothy Tingler, Kernersville, N.C.; Emma Donahue, Salem; Geneva and Jack Abbott, Sumter, S.C.; Joyce and Jimmy Slaydon, Roanoke; one sister, Mrs. Betty Caldwell; one brother, Frank Switzer, both of New Castle; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; also many dear, loving friends and relatives. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 5, 1990, at 2:00 p.m. at the Crossroads Church in New Castle with the Rev. Kevin Hagie officiating. Interment will follow in the Huffman Memorial Park in Craig County. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at Lotz Salem Chapel.
