Mrs. Myrtle Lawrence Hamlin, age 83, of Salem, died Tuesday, March 6, 1990. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harvey Hamlin. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James, Jr. and Vera Hamlin; daughter and son-in-law, Barney and Herndon Grice; four grandsons; one granddaughter; one stepgrandson; two stepgranddaughters; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Stanley Lawrence, Check, Va.; one sister, Ada Texer, Salem. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Salem, with the Rev. Joe T. Lindsoe officiating. Interment will be in Wilson Cemetery, Floyd County. Friends may call at the funeral home.
