CRAIG SCHOOL BOARD FAILS TO HAVE QUORUM

The Craig County School Board could not meet Tuesday night because it failed to have a quorum.

It was the first time in about 10 years that the board could not meet because it failed to have the necessary attendance of at least three members, according to Chairwoman Carrie Crawford.

Only Crawford and member Thomas Zimmerman were able to attend. The other three members were absent for a variety of reasons.

Marsha Via did not attend because of a death in her family; Robert Shaver was ill and James Cady was away from home.

Crawford rescheduled the meeting for March 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the library of Craig County High School.
