PERDUE, FRED H.\ BEAR SPRING - Fred Haynes Perdue, age 79, died Wednesday, March 14, 1990, in a Pearisburg hospital. He was the son of the late Bob and Fannie Thomas Perdue, was a retired employee of the Celanese Corporation and a member of the Bear Spring United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dana Stafford Perdue; three daughters, Mrs. Ellen (Jim) McCormick, Mrs. Phyllis (Clark) Gordon, Mrs. Judy (James) Simpkins, all of Bear Spring; seven grandchildren, Mrs. Lisa (Jay) Fox, Freddie McCormick, Mrs. Mark (Cindi) Gordon, Mrs. Leaetta (Alfred) Anderson, Timmy Gordon, DeeDee Gordon, Sharon Simpkins; one foster grandchild, Darrell Whittaker; one great-grandchild, Christopher Kelly Anderson; three brothers, George Perdue, Bear Spring; Garfield Perdue, and Frank Perdue, both of Staffordsville. Funeral services will be Friday, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bear Spring United Methodist Church with the Rev. Frank Perry officiating. Burial in the Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. Friends may call Thursday at the A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
