Mrs. Emily Lewis Engers, age 78, of 6910 Williamson Road, Lakeview Home for
Adults, formerly of Salem, died Wednesday, March 14, 1990. She attended
Radford and Roanoke Colleges. Her father, O.G. Lewis was a former mayor of
Salem. She was a member of Salem Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her
son and daughter-in-law, Charles Neal and Carolyn Engers; granddaughter,
Tamarra Lynne Engers. Memorial graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m.
Friday at East Hill Cemetery with Dr. Wilfred B. Webb, Jr. officiating. There
will be no visitation or calling hours. Friends wishing to sign the register
may do so at the funeral home or prior to the start of the service. In lieu of
flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem Presbyterian Church.
