LOTTO WINNER BOUGHT TICKET IN ALEXANDRIA

A single player matched all six numbers in the Virginia Lottery's weekly Lotto drawing to win a $5.4 million jackpot, a lottery spokeswoman said Sunday.

Spokeswoman Cheri Phaup said the winning ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven store in Alexandria. No winner has yet stepped forward, she said.

The winner is the fourth to crack a jackpot in the state's 10-week-old game. The winner will collect nearly $208,000 annually for 20 years.

The winning numbers were 5-32-36-37-40-42.

Forty-four people correctly matched five of six numbers to win $2,254, Phaup said. Four of six correct paid $71.

The state has taken in $22.8 million since the game began in January.
