Curtis Washington Branch, age 87, died Thursday, April 12, 1990, in the Stonewall Jackson E.C.F. Mr. Branch was born January 3, 1903, in Rockbridge County, the son of the late George Washington (Buster) Branch and Emma Princess Ragland Branch. He was a member of the Arnold's Valley Southern Baptist Church and was retired from Burlington Industries after 25 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Clemmie Johnson Branch; two daughters, Mary Ann B. Johnson, Natural Bridge Station; Christine B. Rowe, Staunton; five sons, Thomas W. Branch, Lynchburg; Jerry M. Branch, Natural Bridge Station; Ivan Waverly Branch, Lexington; Evan Willard Branch, Natural Bridge; John E. Branch, Natural Bridge Station; two sisters, Gracie (Dollie) Rhodes, Colonial Heights; Frances Worley, Natural Bridge; 11 grandchildren, ten stepgrandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Arnold's Valley Southern Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald W. Stine and the Rev. E. J. Starnes officiating. Burial will follow in the Tolley Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Friday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
