Mrs. Jessie Akers Hatter, age 88, of Salem, died Monday, April 23, 1990. She was the widow of Colston M. Hatter. Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Donald C. and Leslie L. Hatter of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Rick Martin of Fairfax; Mrs. Will L. (Leslie) Lewis of Raleigh, N.C.; Kimberly S. Hatter of Roanoke. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home Chapel, Salem, with Dr. Denver Jackson Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
