AD PLACEMENT WAS UNFORTUNATE

AS THE bereaved parent of a 3-year-old, I would like to commend Mike Hudson on his informative series, "When a child dies."

Since it was intended to promote knowledge and understanding, may I make a point at the expense of the Roanoke Times & World-News? The article began on the front page of the April 8 paper and was continued to page A-9. Right below the article on page A-9 was a rather long ad for summer toys picturing a number of happily playing, very much alive children.
