SINK, GEORGE J.

\ WIRTZ - George Jacob Sink, age 74, of Route 1, Wirtz, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 5, 1990. Mr. Sink was a former employee of Roanoke Iron and Bridge Works with 21 years service and N & W Shops with 18 years service. He was a dedicated member of Hales Ford Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, George Junior Sink, in 1987. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, June S. Bailey and Marvin Lee Bailey, Wirtz; Carolyn S. Martin and James E. Martin, Jr., Roanoke; five grandchildren, Marvin Lee Bailey, Jr., Mike Bailey, Aaron Bailey, all of Wirtz; Deborah Cox and James Martin, III, both of Roanoke; three great-grandchildren, Tammy, Karen, and Stacey Cox; four brothers, Alfred Sink, Paul Sink, and Jim Reed Sink, all of Wirtz; Johnny Sink, Roanoke; three sisters, Cornelia Sumpter and Maude Sink, both of Wirtz; Melva Watson, Vinton; a very dear friend, Louise Altice, Hardy; 31 nieces and nephews; many stepnieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Lotz Roanoke Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 1990, with the Rev. Melvin Harris officiating. Interment will be in Old Liberty Cemetery, Franklin County.
