\ LEXINGTON - Mary Sue Hite Lackey, age 87, died Friday at Sunnyside Presbyterian Home, Harrisonburg. Born December 18, 1902, in Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Emma Owen Hite. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee Lackey. She was a member of New Monmouth Presbyterian Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Caroline Lanum, Warrenton; two sons, L. Stevenson Lackey, McLean; Harry L. Lackey, Jr., Cerritos, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Hallie Tillotson, Mrs. Emma Gray Walker, both of Buffalo Junction; Mrs. Josie Jones, Nelson; Mrs. Lottie Boyd, South Boston; one brother, Arthur Hite, Buffalo Junction; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 4:00 p.m. from the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. H. Wray Sherman officiating. Burial will follow in the New Monmouth Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Harrison Funeral Home.
