LIVING LAVISHLY WHILE BABIES DIE

WHAT HAS become of the country? Why can we stand by and let a little baby like Andy Moore die for lack of funds?

We can send money to other countries. We can spend on cars, boats, swimming pools, drugs, clothes, movies, VCRs, makeup and politics, and incentives to motivate employees. We can spend that extra dollar on a top brand instead of a no-name. And we can spend $20,000 on a car to drive, even though the one that's paid for is doing fine.

So we let children like Andy Moore suffer untold pain and finally die for the cost of a new car, boat or whatever.

Many babies are dying right now, just because we adults sit in our ignorance or blindness to the truth. It's so easy to look at a child's story and turn to the next page and say that it is so terrible, we had rather read something else.

Andy Moore's only chance was a bone marrow transplant, but also a $30,000 deposit was required before the hospital would even do the operation. Sue Argabright didn't have it, and most families don't. Insurance is becoming a joke because of the cost.

Well, we can go on and buy all the shiny things we see, because Little Andy is gone with God. I feel that such pitiful children come to this Earth as a test to see how ruthless humans can be.

If the Lord spared you, be very thankful and show him by sending some of that extra money to people like Ms. Argabright. Help them to see their babies live, and live to care about the human race that helped them.

Just as important, let our local senators and congressmen and members of the General Assembly know that you are tired of a country like ours letting our babies die for the price of a car or less.
