CHISOM, JAMES A.

\ WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Mr. James Arnold Chisom, age 54, of Route 5, Winston-Salem, N.C., died Sunday afternoon at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. He was born March 31, 1936 in Roanoke, Va. to Jesse Boyd and Audie Hill Chisom. Mr. Chisom worked with McLean Trucking Co. for 23 years. He served in the U.S. Army 101st Air Borne division during the Korean Conflict from December 1956 to April 1962. Surviving are his wife, Mitzie Eisenmenger Chisom, of the home; two sons, Mr. James (Jimmy) Chisom, II, and Mr. Mark Lawrence Chisom, both of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Debra Chisom Booth, Winston-Salem, N.C., and Mrs. Cindy Chisom Nardozzi, Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren; one brother, Mr. George M. Chisom, Roanoke; four sisters, Mrs. Jessie Mae Meyer, Priddy, Texas; Mrs. Myrtle Bea Seattles, Roanoke; Mrs. Donna Evans, Fairborn, Ohio; Mrs. Mildred Entler, Davenport, Iowa. Mr. Chisom was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Boyd L. Chisom; one sister, Grace (Tennie) Mills; and one grandson, Jesse Booth. Funeal services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel by the Rev. Danny Smith. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
