PROTESTS SHRINKING BOOK-REVIEW SPACE

FOR SOME time I have wanted to protest the fact that your paper chooses to run only one page on book reviews/news, once a week, on Sunday. I was going to suggest that you emulate many "big-time" dailies and run at least one review or comment on books each day; or even M-W-F would be fine!

Now, while I have been postponing this task, the space for book reviews has shrunk. To add insult to injury, the crossword puzzle (to which I look forward each Sunday) shares the page with the book news. When you consider that in many cases the people interested in books are also the ones who do crosswords, it begins to look like a vendetta against a certain group of readers, whether this is intentional or not.

What I really want is more book news - and the Sunday crossword located elsewhere. At any rate, more space for book reviews would certainly enhance your image.
