\ Robert C. "Sea Biscuit" Simmons, age 65, of 4024 Dakota Ave. N.W. died Monday in a local hospital. Mr. Simmons retired after 43 years service to Appalachian Power Company and was known in Roanoke for his participation in softball. He was recognized in the Richmond Wall of Fame as a Premere Softball Pitcher. Surviving are one brother, James W. Simmons, Sarasota, Fla.; nurse companion, Naomi R. Dugger, Roanoke. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Sherwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Frank W. Feather, officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke.
