\ Mrs. Irene Blackwell Scott, age 78, of Richfield Retirement Communities died early Wednesday morning at Richfield. She was the wife of the late Edwin Robinson Scott, Sr. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Sue Scott Wilson and Jesse Wilson, Roanoke; sons and daughters-in-law, John M. Scott and Christine Scott, Carrolton, Ga.; Edwin R. Scott Jr. and Estelle Scott, Marietta, Ga.; Jillian Scott, Greenwood, Miss.; three sisters, Josephine Dunning, Flint, Mich.; Eloise Guthrie, Republican Grove, Va.; Virginia Woodall, Harper's Ferry, W.Va.; one brother, Robert M. Blackwell, Annandale, Va.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at the Jane Morgan Harris Chapel in Richfield Retirement Communities on Friday at 10:00 a.m. by the Rev. Thomas C. Clay. Burial will be on Friday at 3:00 p.m. in Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte, N.C. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel after 10:00 a.m. Thursday, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday.
