WAGNOR WINS TRIATHOLON IN 2 HOURS, 5 MINUTES

Lee Wagnor finished with a time of 2 hours and 5 minutes to become the overall winner of the 6th Annual Smith Mountain Lake Triatholon held June 22.

More than 200 people entered the triatholon at Smith Mountain Lake state Park. The event was sponsored by the Roanoke Jaycees.

Individuals and three-person teams swam one-mile, biked 26 miles and ran 10 kilometers.

Top finishers in each category were:

Men: Lee Wagnor, 2:05; Steve Riddle, 2:08; Stephen Poyulson, 2:09.

Women: Maria Hartz, 2:25; Megan Troxell, 2:26.

Team: Steven Taylor, Peter Glauber and Clifford Taylor, 2:04; Dan Summerlin, Rob Frank and Butch Lewis, 2:06:10; David Wilson, Gary Stroud and Paul Hermes, 2:06:28.
