Former Virginia star Ralph Sampson, a three-time All-Star reduced to bench-warmer status for Sacramento because of knee problems, says that Washington Bullet star Bernard King's return to All-Star status after a career-threatening knee injury is an inspiration.

"I know he's worked hard and I've worked hard," Sampson said. "I don't know what his injury was and he doesn't know what mine is, but he's shown that it's very possible to come back. I have a lot of confidence in myself. I know I love to play the game at this particular level."
