CRONISE CARRIES BOTETOURT

Freshman Jeff Cronise scored a career-high 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Lord Botetourt cruised to an 84-68 Blue Ridge District boys' basketball victory against Salem on Friday night.

Cronise made all five two-point attempts and four in a row from the free-throw line for the Cavaliers (15-4 overall, 4-4 Blue Ridge). The 6-foot-5 Cronise's only miss was a 3-point attempt.

Salem (6-14, 2-6) was paced by Jay Sandy with a game-high 19 points and Corey Epperly with 15.
