JOHNSTON MEMORIAL FORMING SUPPORT GROUP

A support group for people who have experienced the loss of a baby is being formed at Johnston Memorial Hospital in April, following a community-awareness program and training for counselors.

A community-awareness program will be held March 12 at 7 p.m. in the hospital's conference center with author Elizabeth B. Brown of Johnson City, Tenn., as the speaker.

Brown wrote "Sunrise Tomorrow: Coping with the Death of a Child" in 1988, telling how she and her husband coped with the death of their 7-year old daughter. She is a Virginia native and Emory & Henry College graduate.

Kathi Kiser, a regional parinatal education coordinator and registered nurse, will train other counselors. Further information on the support group is available by calling her at 628-2174, extension 232.
