WILLIAMSBURG WORKERS WANT UNION DECERTIFIED

A group of Colonial Williamsburg hotel and restaurant workers want to get rid of their union.

Glen Helseth, a hotel clerk and spokesman for the group, said they have gotten one-fourth of the signatures needed to trigger a decertification vote against Local 32 of the Food and Beverage Workers Union. The group, Colonial Williamsburg Unit Employees Solution, said boycott efforts by Local 32 are hurting both Colonial Williamsburg and the Williamsburg area.
