WAMPLER-NIESSEN

Mrs. Susanne Stanley Wampler, of St. Simons Island, Ga., and Mr. Bernard Campbell Wampler, of Pulaski, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lucille Stanley, to Mr. Hieronymus Niessen, son of Mrs. Margreet Houtzager, of Molenhoek, The Netherlands, and Mr. Mathias Niessen, of Mook, The Netherlands.

Miss Wampler is the granddaughter of Mr. John Walker Stanley, Sr., and the late Mrs. Sarah Hillard Stanley, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wythe Fielder Wampler, all of Galax.

She is a graduate of Salem Academy, Winston-Salem, N.C., and earned a bachelor's degree in international marketing from George Washington University, Washington, D.C. She recently opened her own business in Great Falls, Va.

Mr. Niessen holds a master's degree in international law from Leyden University, Leyden, The Netherlands. He also earned a master's degree in business administration from Baylor University, Waco, Texas. He is an investment officer for the Latin American division of The International Finance Corporation in Washington, D.C.

A 6:00 p.m. wedding is planned for September 14 at the St. Simons Presbyterian Church, St. Simons Island, Ga.
