SHORT-DOOLEY

Lynn Haven Baptist Church was the setting for the February 14, 1991 wedding uniting Sherri Dawn Dooley and David Russell Short. Dr. Robert Wayne officiated the evening ceremony. A reception immediately followed in the church fellowship hall.

The bride is the daughter of Donna Jacobs, of Vinton, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thrasher, also of Vinton. The groom is the son of Russell L. Short and Bonnie C. Hartsel, both of Vinton, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Short, Sr., of Roanoke.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her uncle, Steve Thrasher, of Forest, Va. and attended by her only sister, Cassi Jacobs, of Vinton. The groom's father served as best man. Ushers were Robert L. Short, Jr., uncle of the groom and Ty Hodges. The guestbook was attended by Charlotte Carver, cousin of the bride.

The bride and groom are both graduates of William Byrd High School. After a brief honeymoon, the couple will reside in Vinton, where the groom is employed by Russell Short, Inc.
