WILLIAMS-LAWSON

Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church was the setting Saturday, January 19, 1991 for the evening wedding of Glenda Jean Lawson and John Montgomery Williams, Jr. The Reverend Donald R. Dyer, Sr. officiated. The maid of honor was Robin Liebal. The bridesmaids were Darlene Hatcher, Mary Beth Glass, Jackie Harmon and Sharon Reynolds. Ashleigh Renee Glass, niece of the groom, served as flower girl. The best man was John Montgomery Williams, Sr., father of the groom. The ushers were Kevin Glass, Michael Stovall, Donnie Foutz, and Ricky Foutz. Justin Hancock was the ring bearer. The guest book was attended by Mrs. Patsy Stovall.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Joe Hatcher of Lafayette. She graduated from Shawsville High School and is employed by Carilion Health Services. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Montgomery Williams, Sr. of Vinton. He graduated from William Byrd High School and attended Roanoke College. He is employed by the Roanoke County Police Department. The reception was held at the Vinton War Memorial. The newlyweds honeymooned on a cruise through the Virgin Islands and have chosen to make their home in Vinton.
