HOKIES' BASEBALL SEASON BEGINS TODAY

Virginia Tech will open its 1991 baseball season today at UNC Charlotte.

Senior right-hander Tim Fenn of Virginia Beach is scheduled to start and pitch three innings. Hokies coach Chuck Hartman said he also hopes to get three innings each from right-handers Les Jennette of Richmond and Brad Clontz of Patrick Springs.

Seven starters return for the Hokies, who were 36-22 last season. - Staff report
