ALONGSIDE THE YELLOW, TIE BLACK RIBBONS

THOSE WHO measure the cost of this war only in terms of American casualties give new meaning to the word infidel. It would be proper if all yellow ribbons were accompanied by a black ribbon acknowledging the thousands of lives, ours and theirs, that will be lost in this fracas; it would also set a proper, somber tone for measuring this struggle.

Let's now do what is necessary to rid the world of the tyrant Hussein: win the war and bring our troops home. Then let's impeach George Bush for having bungled a winning strategy of containment into a premature bloody war, and for then coercing the Congress and American public into backing up his stupid bluff.
