ODU SLAMS 6 HOMERS, ROUTS RADFORD 27-13

Old Dominion hit a school-record six home runs, two by James Krevokuch, to defeat Radford 27-13 in a non-conference college baseball game Wednesday.

The Monarchs' previous record of five home runs was set on May 1, 1983, at Jacksonville, Fla., and repeated on May 5, 1985, at James Madison.

Krevokuch, a senior third baseman, hit a two-run homer in the first inning and a three-run homer in a five-run sixth inning. ODU (2-1) scored eight runs in the fourth, but the only homer in that inning was Chris Howlett's solo shot.

Donnie Just slammed a three-run homer in the fifth for Radford (0-4). Just finished with three hits, and reserve catcher John Gegg went 3-for-5 with two runs batted in.
