VIRGINIA INTERMONT GETS GRANTS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS

Virginia Intermont College will get a $43,000 grant from the Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation, established in memory of the woman who was director of the Coca-Cola Co. for nearly 20 years.

The grant will provide academic scholarships for Southern women who need financial assistance for college.
