RADFORD RALLIES, TIES KEYDETS IN BASEBALL

A five-run seventh inning lifted Radford into an 11-11 tie with VMI in a college baseball game that was called after eight innings because of darkness.

Donnie Just hit a three-run homer to highlight the Highlanders' big inning and cut Radford's deficit to 11-9. Kenny Dawkins' run-scoring infield hit and Galen Hendrichs' RBI groundout in the eighth inning pulled Radford (2-6-2) even.

VMI (0-3-1) took an 11-4 lead in the sixth inning by sending 10 to bat and scoring six runs, four unearned. Brian Adams hit a two-run single and Raymond Flowers had an RBI triple to spark the Keydets.

VMI travels to Charlottesville to take on Virginia today. Radford's next test will come against Western Carolina on Friday at Dedmon Center Field.
