BANKRUPTCY PETITIONS FILED IN ROANOKE

Three small Roanoke Valley businesses have filed petitions in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Roanoke seeking protection from creditors.

Transport Consultants Inc., headed by Wayne C. Stanton, reported debt of $900,000 and assets of $200,000 in a petition for liquidation.

Ronald H. and Nadine W. Clark, trading as Clark's Modern House Cleaning, filed a wage-earner petition and reported debt of $81,671 and assets of $61,725.

Jackie and Jeanine McPherson, owners of Type-It Inc., also filed a wage-earner petition, listing debt of $216,093 and assets of $38,300. - Staff report
