GUILTY PLEA ENTERED IN ARSON DEATHS

An Afton teen-ager pleaded guilty to arson and murder charges for a 1990 fire that killed two Nelson County women.

Horace Eugene Burnett III, 19, agreed Monday to testify against two co-defendants in the murder-for-hire case.

Burnett and two other men were charged with arson and murder after a March 2, 1990, fire killed Lillian J. Fox, 71, and her 46-year-old daughter Carolyn D. Fox.

Nelson County Circuit Court Judge David Berry said he will postpone sentencing until after Burnett testifies at the capital murder trials of Virgil Samuel Fox Jr., 50, son and brother to the deceased women, and his 18-year-old son, Virgil Samuel Fox III.
