MOBIL GIVES $200,000 FOR TROOP SCHOLARSHIPS

George Mason and Norfolk State universities are among 20 schools across the country that are to get $100,000 apiece from Mobil Corp. to set up scholarships to assist Operation Desert Storm veterans and their families.

Men and women who served during Desert Storm, their spouses and children or surviving dependents of service men and women killed during Desert Storm will be eligible for the undergraduate scholarships.

The scholarships will range from $1,000 to $5,000 per semester.
