NASA has decided to slash $8 billion from its space station program and delay occupancy until the year 2000 to meet congressional demands for economy, according to agency documents.

Peggy Lee was awarded $3.83 million in videocassette profits Wednesday for her singing and songwriting in the Disney animated movie classic "Lady and the Tramp."

Sen. Alan Simpson, R-Wyo., apologized for calling CNN reporter Peter Arnett a "sympathizer" for his coverage in Iraq of the Persian Gulf War, but added that "dupe" or "tool" would better describe Arnett's role.
