OBIT - FENTRESS, M.

FENTRESS, MILDRED H.\ Mildred Hall Fentress, age 93, of the 200 block of Robert Street in Chesapeake, died March 29, in a Chesapeake hospital. She was the wife of the late Wilbur Burwell Fentress and was a native of Butts Station, Va. She was the director of the preschool program for Centerville Baptist Church and was a school teacher for the Norfolk County Public Schools Systems. She was a member of Centerville Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for over thirty years. She was also a member of the Triangle Study Club. She is survived by two daughters, Paige Fentress Custer, Roanoke; Bettie Fentress Grissom, Chesapeake; one son, William Lee Fentress, Petersburg; two sisters, Virginia Hall Paxson, Chesapeake; Bettie Lee Hall Charnock, Va. Beach; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the Centerville Baptist Church by the Rev. Danny Morris. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Oman Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Centerville Baptist Church Educational Program.
