PEARISBURG - Mrs. Carolyn Farley Oney, age 84, died Thursday morning, April 18, 1991, in Giles Memorial Hospital, Pearisburg. Mrs. Oney was born June 30, 1906, in Giles County, Va. She was preceded in death by her father, John Frank Webster Farley and her mother, Clara Olive Fequa Farley and her husband, Thomas Jefferson Oney. Mrs. Oney was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church, Pearisburg and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution of the George Paris Chapter in Pearisburg. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Diane Oney Ballard, Pearisburg; three grandchildren, Thomas M. Wynn, Carolyn Ballard and Virginia Ballard, all of Pearisburg; two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 20, 1991, at 11:00 a.m. at the Christ Episcopal Church in Pearisburg, with the Rev. Blanche Powell officiating with burial in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends Friday evening, April 19, 1991, from 6:00 to 9:00 at the Givens Funeral Home in Pearisburg, Va.
