MONETA - Dan Field Robertson, 78, of Route 2, died Thursday, April 18, 1991, in Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Bedford County, September 5, 1912, a son of the late Peter Winston Robertson and Landonia Field Robertson. He was a retired employee of the Virginia Department of Highways, a member of Morgans Baptist Church, was a member of the Bedford Masonic Lodge No. 244 and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Moles Robertson; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Adrian A. and Doris Joiner Robertson of Newport News; four grandchildren, Nicholas A. Robertson of Valley Forge Christian College, Pa.; Mrs. Roger (Jennifer Joy) Brown of Madrid, Calif.; Renee Elizabeth Robertson and John Peter Robertson, both of Newport News; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Willie (Mary) Robertson of Richmond; Mrs. Francis (Ruth) Robertson of Moneta; Mrs. Roy (Daphnie) Robertson of Huntington, W. Va. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Morgans Baptist Church with the Revs. Alfred Duncan and Elmer Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A Masonic Service will be held Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Carder-Tharp Funeral Home after which the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
