Ms. Hazel Houser Scruggs, age 57, of Roanoke County, died Friday at her residence. Ms. Scruggs is survived by her mother, Lottie Patsel West, Roanoke; one son, Tommy Lee Scruggs, Roanoke County; one sister, Geraldine West, Roanoke; ex-husband, Bobby L. Scruggs, Roanoke; one aunt, Willie Clark, Hardy; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Lotz Roanoke Chapel with the Rev. Sam Crews officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. at Lotz Roanoke Chapel, Franklin Road.
