ROANOKE WOMEN DROP HARTWICK IN LACROSSE

Robin Collinson and Leigh Budnitz each scored four goals as the Roanoke women's lacrosse team defeated Hartwick 14-11 Saturday.

The teams remained close for most of first half, but the sixth-ranked Maroons (11-2) scored two goals late for an 8-6 lead at halftime. With about 10 minutes left in the game, Roanoke scored three unanswered goals over a five-minute spurt to break the game open.
