ARNEY-WITT

Teresa Lynnette Witt and William Patrick Arney were united in marriage April 20, 1991, in Bonsack Baptist Church. Dr. Robert G. Moore, III, officiated the candlelight ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

The bride wore a white satin gown accented with seed pearls, venice lace and sequins. The gown was fashioned with a wedding band neck line and a bustle back with a cathedral length train. The bride carried a cascade bouquet of gardenias, white roses, stephanotis and ivy.

Carol J. Witt was her sister's maid of honor. Jennifer F. Straub, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Teresa L. Arney, sister of the groom, Wendy M. Barton, friend of the bride, Cynthia D. Bireley, cousin of the bride, Lisa A. Moore, friend of the bride, and Kimberly R. Witt, cousin of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were Britney N. Arney and Kristin L. Arney, nieces of the groom. Flowergirl was Krisha R. Witt, niece of the bride.

Jewell C. Arney, father of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Allen J. Arney, Curtis R. Arney, brothers of the groom, Timothy P. Mistele, Rodney C. Painter, Roderick B. Smith, friends of the groom, and David C. Witt, brother of the bride. Junior groomsmen were C. Drew Arney, nephew of the groom, and Joshua D. Witt, nephew of the bride.

The bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carlton T. Witt, of Troutville, is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School, Virginia Western Community College and Radford University. She is employed by Miles Inc. Diagnostics Division. The groom, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jewell C. Arney, of Daleville, is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and attended Virginia Tech. He is self employed.

The reception was held at the Vinton War Memorial. Following a wedding trip to St. Thomas, the couple will make their home in Botetourt County.
