5-YEAR TERM GIVEN FOR BAD-CHECK WRITING

A 31-year-old Wytheville man has been sentenced to five years in prison for writing $6,098 worth of bad checks.

Stephen Randall Flynt represented the Restaurant Express, a company delivering food to eating establishments, during the period in which the checks were written from Nov. 24 to Dec. 11, 1990.

He received two five-year sentences Wednesday for conspiracy to commit grand larceny, with the sentences running concurrently.
