MINNIX, JESSE E.
Jesse Earnest Minnix, age 94, of Salem passed away Saturday in a local hospital. He was retired from the N & W Shops and was a member of the Church of the Brethren since 1914. He was also a member of Green Hill Church of the Brethren since about 1930. He was predeceased by his wife, Allie Epperly Minnix. Surviving are one son, Melvin Leo (Hank) Minnix, Lady Lake, Fla.; three daughters, Violet M. Long, Salem; Barbara M. Bower, Roanoke; Cecelia M. Pruitt, Salem; one brother, Clarence Minnix, Ocala, Fla.; one sister, Stella Sevant, Salem; 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday, January 15, 1992, from the Lotz Salem Chapel. The Rev. Dee C. Flory will officiate. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday and 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lotz Salem Chapel.
