BUENA VISTA - Willie Anderson Sandidge, Sr., 81, died Wednesday in a Lexington Hospital. He was born May 3, 1910 in Amherst County a son of the late Sandy and Edith Kerr Sandidge. He was retired from Georgia Bonded Fibers and was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen Chittum Sandidge and a daughter, Sandra S. Brantley. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. George C. Cochran and Mrs. Floyd B. Brantley, Jr., both of Buena Vista; and Miss Rhonda Lee Sandidge of Roanoke; one son, Willie A. Sandidge, Jr. of Buena Vista; three sisters, Mrs. Anthony (Rena) Davis and Mrs. Curtis (Thelma) Patterson, both of Buena Vista; and Mrs. Jim (Ruby) Kerr of Lynchburg; a special friend, Charlotte Eakin of Roanoke; twelve grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Lomax Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Lomax Funeral Home.
