RUSSO-LAYMAN

Lori Annette Layman and Joseph Frank Russo, Jr., were married February 8, 1992, in Oakland Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Bridgeman officiating. The reception was held in the fellowship hall. The maid of honor was Karen Dehart, sister of the bride. The matron of honor was Monica Flinchum, friend of the bride. The best man was Joseph Frank Russo, Sr., father of the groom. The ushers were Jerry DeHart, brother-in-law, and Joe Russo, son of the groom. The candlelighters were Jerry DeHart and Joseph Russo, Sr. The bride wore a sheath style gown of white satin and alencon lace accented with iridescent sequins and pearls. It featured a detachable cathedral train embellished with beaded lace appliques. She carried a cascading bouquet of dendrobian orchids, white tulips and red roses accented with purple statice and baby's breath. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Layman of Roanoke. She graduated from Salem High School and Roanoke College and is employed by USAir. The groom is the son of Joseph Russo, Sr., of Orange City, Fla. He is self-employed. The newlyweds will live in Orange City, Fla., after a wedding trip to Niagra Falls.
