OBIT BANE, T.

BANE, THOMAS H. LEXINGTON - Thomas Houston Bane, 79, died February 29, 1992, in a Salem hospital. He was born in Rockbridge County, June 7, 1912, the son of the late Oliver R. and Josephine Drain Bane. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Sharon Walker, Lexington; two sons, Thomas H. Bane, Jr., Richmond; Robert P. Bane, Lexington; three sisters, Mrs. Nannie Irvin and Mrs. Emmie Hostetter, both of Lexington; Mrs. Sissie Hispatch, Hopewell; two brothers, Staton Bane, Lexington; Napolion Bane, Roanoke; seven stepgrandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Kerr's Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. David Moore. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the Lomax Funeral Home, Buena Vista.
