SYMPOSIUM TO BEGIN AT HOLLINS COLLEGE

"They Did Take it With Them: Life After Death in Ancient Egypt and Crete" will be the theme of a two-day Spring Classics Symposium at Hollins College.

Wednesday at 4:45 p.m. in Babcock Auditorium, Anne Laidlaw will discuss "How We Got it Back: Napoleon and Sir Arthur Evans." Laidlaw is an E. Marion Smith Professor of Classics at Hollins.

Ann Blasingham will address "What it All Means: Comparisons and Contrasts" on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Blasingham is with the American School of Classical Studies in Athens, Greece.

A reception will be held Thursday at 5:45 p.m. in the Green Drawing Room.
