4 RUNNING FOR RADFORD COUNCIL

Four people have signed up to run for two seats on City Council.

Incumbents Guy Wohlford and Bobby Nicholson will seek re-election, according to papers filed with the Radford city registrar.

Opposing them are Valiant Mah, a Radford University professor of math and statistics, and David A. Worrell, owner of Bank Supply Co. Inc.

Mah and Worrell both live on Second Avenue.

Another potential candidate dropped out of the race without filing candidacy papers.

Todd Eanes, a 22-year-old student and small-business owner, had been inspired by the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors' Nick Rush, who is 24.

After talking to people who know about politics and Radford politics in particular, Eanes reconsidered. His mother finally convinced him that he lacked the experience to run, he said.
