OBIT BUNYAN J.

BUNYAN, JOYCE G. DRAPER - Joyce G. Bunyan, age 59, died Sunday morning at her residence. She was born in Elgin, Illinois to the Rev. Ralph E. and Ferne M. Gronseth. She grew up in Indiana and attended Franklin College. For the past two decades she tended her flock of sheep in Bland and Wythe County. She is well known in the community for such diverse activities as professionally hanging wallpaper, a member of the Wythe Library Board and being a good and faithful neighbor. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence P. Bunyan of the home; one daughter, Sarah E. Bunyan, Richmond, Va.; one son, James L. Bunyan, Draper, Va.; two sisters, Helen G. Crawford, St. Cloud, Fla.; Jean G. Jennings, Annapolis, Md.; one brother, James B. Gronseth, Annapolis, Md. A memorial service will be at the Draper Valley Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 14, 1992 at 3:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Preston O. Sartelle Jr. The family specifically requests that flowers not be sent. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Draper Valley Presbyterian Church, Draper, Va. 24324. The Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of arrangements.
