WEST, JASPER B. CENTRAL, S.C. - Jasper Bryson (Jack) West, age 85, died March 7, 1992 at the residence of his daughter in Central, S.C. where he had made his home for the past few years. Born in Bedford County, Va., formerly of Route 1, Vinton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Flora M. West and was the son of the late Vac Horton and Oma T. Gray West. He was retired from the Norfolk and Western Railroad Tank Shop. He was a member of the Parkway Wesleyan Church in Roanoke. Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Alice W. and Kenneth R. Foutz, Central, S.C.; granddaughter and husband, Lisa Foutz and Michael J. Gantt, one great-grandson, Jonathan Foutz Gantt; two sisters, Willie W. Wheeler, Vinton; Ruby W. Dooley, Greensboro, N.C. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 1992 at the Mountain View Cemetery with the Rev. John W. Ott officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.
