DUNCAN, RALPH J.

Ralph J. Duncan, age 62, died Tuesday, March 10, 1992, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mr. Duncan was born in Blacksburg, Va., on May 23, 1929. He was retired from the U. S. Postal Service with 34 years of service, beginning his working career in the Blacksburg Post Office and retiring as Postmaster in Falls Church, Va. His most recent career was as a GRI and an associate real estate broker in Northern Va. and then in the Roanoke area. He was also a member of the National Association of Real Estate Appraisers, the Loyal Order of the Moose and Parents without Partners. He was preceded in death by his father, James Ribble Duncan. Surviving are his mother, Doshia Frances Perdue, Salem; three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Gail and Robert Stewart, Portland, Ore.; Karen Denise and Howard Pape, Charlottesville; Tina Louise and David McPherson, Blacksburg; three grandsons, Jeremy Duncan Pape, Evan Andrew Pape, Ross Camden McPherson; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, March 13, 2:00 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Johnny Loughridge will officiate. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, c/o Dominion Bank, Attn: Donna Miller, 1204 S. Main Street, Blacksburg, Va. 24060. The family will receive friends Thursday, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
